After picking up a 2017 Gibson SG Faded and returning due to issues, I got a 2017 Paul Reed Smith SE Custom 22 in Vintage Sunburst. This guitar was the runner up to the Gibson the day I was trying them out at the store only because I got hung up on wanting an SG it didn't matter that the SE was better.
Anyway, all's good and I am very happy with the SE. It's a very bright and I'm very surprised that it stays in tune after heavy trem use.

Really nice looking PRS. I haven't tried one of the newer SE's but I've heard really good things, even more so the latest lineups. Congrats and enjoy!

I have a 2018 SE Standard 24, and if it is anything like mine it will have (amongst other things), a superb neck; a very nice rosewood fretboard, featuring a first class fret job. :thumb:

These are great bang for the buck guitars, congrats!

I've only had one in the past...a Bernie Marsden model... fantastic guitar.

Enjoy the hell out of that!

You are absolutely right on all three accounts! The fret jobis fantastic! The day I was at the guitar store, I pickued up sooo many guitars that had very sharp fret ends. The PRS' I played (all SE's & S2's) had perfect frets.

Build quality on the SE line is excellent. You could pay 10 times the price for something nicer and it wouldn't have the build quality these have.

Can't say enough good things about the PRS SE line. I have a Custom, a Soapbar II, and a Santana. All great.
The Santana SE is next on my list.. It'll be a while, but it's definitely next!
