So ive had it for a few weeks and wanted to give her a proper break in before deciding to post a ngd.

I acquired my first USA MADE GUITAR a 2018 PRS CE 24 Got an insane deal on this gem Brand new from the good folks at sweetwater

The thing kicks ass. the photos are meh dont know why only one half of the top came through but rest assured the tops match each other.

Never understood what people meant when they talked about going over the finish.. Now i understand the thing looks immaculate. So damn pumped on the coil tap as well freakin awesome.

I take shit pics but i did try.

Congrats! PRS guitars sometimes get a bad rap from the traditionalists but. they do make some fine guitars that look, feel, play and sound great. Enjoy!

Do you mind telling us what the "insane deal" was?

Congrats, Nice one!

I never played a PRS, for no reason, just never had the chance to come close enough to one…

One day.

Very nice guitar for sure.

Congrats and welcome to the PRS family.

I have an '88 Goldtop "Special", and an '09 DGT 10-Top.

Both are really good guitars, but the DGT offers way more tonal options and is more user friendly.

Great score! Nice flame on this one.
Is it your first PRS? Once you get a PRS there is no way back ;)

However I think I got an insaner deal myself a couple weeks ago.
A 1989 pre-factory PRS CE24 for $850.
It is my second PRS, the first one I got in a trade supposedly I was goin got re sell it but hell, it was too good so it has stayed with me ever since. As soon as I saw this one for this price I couldn't say no.

As you know Paul Reed Smith only produces guitars in the USA. The "PRS SE" are produced by another company, I wouldn't consider it a Paul Reed Smith creation, as much as Epiphone is not a Gibson. I assume you have noticed a huge difference between both.
Whatever it is you have a great guitar there, long may you enjoy it.

If I can do a suggestion, try a Custom 22. Grab one when you have the chance. They sound so different that I think you will enjoy having different flavours.

Great guitars congrats that one is a beauty. I'd love to grab another one but my wallet can't handle the damage one of these suckers cost unless I unload a few guitars.

Its actually funny you mention it. I hot rodded the hell out of my PRS SE Santana, got a Jonesy 50's wiring rig, Electric city Pick ups, i was styling with my Santana. Almost bought an acoustic because i was so confident of the sound and playability of my SE. But pulled the gun on this CE 24, and wow i am so impressed. There is a night and day difference between the guitars. I held my SE Santana in such high regards, played it through many amps and it sounded fantastic. But after playing my CE 24 i feel snobbish saying it but it would seem hard to go back to something of less quality.. The guitar feels, play, and sounds so God Damn Good.

No buyer's remorse here.

Hey man awesome great score. That's a really cool color too. Plus that top looks quite nice particularly for a CE, sometimes they get kinda plain tops but not this one!

Congratulations.

I've been a longtime user of PRS guitars, myself, so I'm always thrilled to see more of them across this forum.
