That is a crazy good example of the finish! I’m usually a pickguard on guy, and this is no exception. It doesn’t take anything away, it complements and finishes it.

You could definitely do white or black plastics, and that’s a hard look to pull off. Usually one of them will just look funny, but this could really go either way.

The only thing I'd suggest for @bytemare is to swap the knobs for clear knobs, I did it with my blueburst 335 and they look terrific. Just be sure to get them with white markings---easier to see!

This is exactly what I want to do!!! I like the knobs from the LP Modern but can't find them :/

I bought mine on Amazon. Just look up Gibson clear guitar knobs.

Yep, I've had a couple of those. Great guitars. The pick guard was removable. The first pic below has one of the HPs and a 2017 Standard. The next one is a 2019 Standard. The last one is a 2019 HP II. I'm a recovering blueberry addict.

I got a 2019 HP Mk.II in seafoam fade. it's my most beautiful guitar. I wish my Axcess custom had the same finish and the HP hardware.

Too this day, I think that is still one of the most stunning finishes Gibson have done on the LP. Would have loved them to do it on a current model "Custom" , as it would have emptyed my bank account faster than my Ex.
