I picked this up last month and mentioned it in another NGD post and got a request to show it so here she is, 2021 Epi LP Special TV Yellow. This is the best $400 I can imagine. If I was blindfolded and handed it to me and said "here's a Custom Shop LP Special" I would 100% believe you. And that's coming from a 25 year player that's owned and tried a bunch of guitars. It has a "thing" a vibe to it. It's not subtle, it's a very punchy, sort of in your face type of sound but so awesome. The neck is huge so smaller handed players may want to try and play one before buying but they're hard to find in stores But I've never had $400 put a smile on my face like this.

Awesome! I'd love to try out one of these. Guess I should see if my local GC got any...

Oh yeah ! Rock and Roll !

A little advice: lower that neck pickup as low as it will go. Do it by pushing down on the cover while screwing down, so the screws don't take the stress. They could very well snap, they're so flimsy.

By lowering it like that, it will become much more usable with clarity and roundness. Plus it will give your middle position a sweet almost acoustic tone.

Must sound good through that little Fender. Enjoy .

That's a good call. I lowered the neck pickup a bit and it does make it more clear. The bridge pickup really shines and the neck is nearly as good, and improved by that bit of lowering

I have those pickups on a 339 and they really do offer a broad range. Congratulations.

I see that Sweetwater has (?) these guitars, but they are on “back order” — just like over 25% of the guitar and gear stock of every major internet music seller. It may take a few months, but you can get one — eventually. I have “no dog in this hunt” as fatter necks and my hands and fingers are incompatible. But for some of you, the neck on this one is what you want and need. It is a shame for us players that retailers have to back-order so much of what they sell, and no picnic for them either. But IMHO, manufacturers and shipping companies need to “get on the stick”.

I think they deliberately slowed down production during the period where fewer were buying new guitars.
