NGD: My First Les Paul!!

Big thanks to Brett at Eddie's Guitars for hooking me up with my first Les Paul!

It's a brand new 2011 R8 with the Bourbon Burst finish - looks really sharp! I had it delivered to my work so I can't plug in yet, but it sounds really nice acoustically, very resonant.

Just wanted to share, more pics and maybe some clips soon!

you went straight for a Historic?
did you not know that we have a rule around here, a certain way of doing things, you start with an Epi Les Paul, then after a year we let you move up to a Studio, then after a couple of years you get a Gibson USA Standard, once you have become totally competent on it, then and only then we let you get a Historic Les Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did you not know that we have a rule around here, a certain way of doing things, you start with an Epi Les Paul, then after a year we let you move up to a Studio, then after a couple of years you get a Gibson USA Standard, once you have become totally competent on it, then and only then we let you get a Historic Les Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha, yea I was a bit worried the Forum police would be stopping by..

Always was a Fender guy, but played a buddy's R8 and had to grab one. Months and months of research later, here it is! The color is really sweet in person, nice gradual change from dark brown/red to orangish-yellow. Really happy with the whole process..
