I have been trying different things out.So here I am back to Les Pauls and Explorers.These were the guitars I learned to play on and they feel right at home for me.The '58 fret wire and v2 '60 neck made all the difference to me on this one.It feels just right.It sings and is very dynamic.
I'm happy to be back.

It came with reflectors but two were smashed in shipping.I had a set of true historic knobs and went with those.

Congrats! Owning the same model I can attest to your findings on the dynamic singing.
Regarding the reflectors; at first I thought mine came with three reflector and one pre-reflector knob. A closer look revealed the fact that the little disc had jumped off and decided to make a new life for itself in the Lifton case. Obviously that is not according to protocol so I will use my almighty knob power to force it back to the little depression it came from.
On a more serious note; has anyone else experienced the reflector issue?
