NGD- LPC 68 Reissue

Delivered today! Was looking for one without a huge neck and this one fits the bill. Neck feels similar to my Black Beauty- not a 60’s but closer to a 59 type carve. Sounds and plays fantastic!

Some pieces of wood are just meant for certain instruments. That maple slab was born to get carved into a custom. Not a standard or trad or whatever, it wouldn’t look right. But on a bursted custom, it’s perfection.

I feel like I got really lucky. I looked at several of these online and most had necks that were way too big for me. This one was at a guitar center in FL. The pics were horrible and there were no neck measurements. I’ve never had good luck with GC, but I called and got a helpful employee. He checked a few things for me and described the neck. Said the guitar was “pristine”. I took the plunge and glad I did. Got it more than $350 cheaper than any other one I looked at. The neck is maybe slightly smaller than my black beauty. The neck has one indent that worried me after first opening but after playing it for an hour- no issue at all. Love it!
