New LP Jr.

Heavier than I thought it would be, which is good, I like a substantial feeling guitar.

Very resonant unplugged, have yet to plug her in and get a feel for the electronics.

I really like the color and the overall package.

Came with a beautiful plush case.

Nice dark fretboard.

There are a few QC issues that have slightly dampened the excitement:

1. large amount of polishing compound left on guitar in neck pocket and on the fretboard edges, frets 19-21.

2. unfinished area on fretboard where neck meets the body (pictured).

3. Gritty feeling frets, can hear the grittiness when bending the strings.

4. Fine spiderweb-type scratches and smudges all over guitar.

I know this is not a Custom Shop guitar, nor the top of the line model, but the above issues should
have been corrected before the guitar was shipped.

Enough of my sniveling.

I really like the looks of the guitar and it is certainly a keeper.

Nice guitar!! Too bad on the QC. I don't know what the job is like but it'd be hard for me to let something less than perfect roll of the line. NGD is meant to be joyous. Oh well.

Congrats and happy NGD! Sorry the QC issues put a damper on the purchase, still looks great in the photos. I’m sure it’ll make up for some of those problems when you get to plug it in. Nothing like a Junior going full throttle with some dirt. I have one too and love it.

Was it a new in box purchase?

Thanks.

It sounds great !

So far it has been played through a Phaez Soldano SLO 100 clone and a Marshall SC20/ 800. Glorious !

I played so loud , I had to take my VA issued hearing aids out to attenuate!

Edit: changed Soldano SLO 50 to SLO 100.

use some semi-chrome polish on the frets to smooth/polish them out. made a big difference on mine. some oil on the board [I like Fret Dr.] and you are good to go.
