Well, in the post above for the Comparison of Gibson Pickups in different guitars, I could not hear much of a difference. I know I created the video and posted it, but I did not have a chance until just a little bit ago, to really go through it and see if I could hear the differences. I really did not hear a difference that really stood out showcasing one pickup being better or really different than the other. All guitars have the same strings and size of strings.

I picked up some NYXL's for the new Gibson, but did not put them on yet. I wanted to get a good comparison first and then change the strings and see if I can hear a difference with the new NYXL's from D'addario.
I kind of disagree in that I heard very substantial difference. I put the audio through my studio monitors and got a couple good listens. Again without question the new Lemon is the clear winner of the 3 guitars. It sounded the best overall and nailed the VH sound the best. The Epiphone was not far off but those pups didn’t do the VH tones as authentic as the 61 bucker. I was surprised that the black cherry HP in that particular demo came in last place. I know a lot of people detest that very common pup combo and others love them but I think I really had a good experience there in why some people dislike them. I have at least a few guitars with them too including my LP Custom. I feel like in person they they sound good for heavy rock tones for me here at home so maybe its a case where they just don’t record well or weren’t getting along with the effects applied to them but in your demo they sounded somewhat flat and not as lively as the 61 buckers to my ears. But no question I felt like I heard very noticeable differences in the VH demo you did which your videos are very good BTW

Thank you for the compliments. Acoustically, you can't hear the difference as much in the video as you can personally standing next to me, where it is a much more noticeable difference. The Gibson is really open, smooth and just rings out more clearly, even more so than the Gibson Studio. The Epiphone is a bit tight and bright, not open and airy. Until I got the Gibson, I thought the Epiphone sounded fine acoustically, but there is a big difference. Now, plugged in and jamming out, the Epiphone really shines, sounds really good. The BB 2/3's are not as hot as BB or BBPro's, I think they made them to be a bit smoother, not in your face as much, but they do sound very nice. The BB 61's are the same pickup in the R/T positions, they just have an un even wind kind of like the older days, trying to duplicate the sound from the late 50's/early 60's PAF Humbuckers. I thought that the 498T+ on the Studio would be the hottest of them all. I had the BB 61's in my 2014 Les Paul Peace guitar, I really liked the tone from that guitar and thought it sounded great, so I have liked the 61's right from the get go years ago. I am fine with them being in the Gibson Les Paul Standard 60's and Classic guitars, definitely a good choice for nice tone from your Les Paul.

I got the tuners and put them on, it was easy peasy lemon squeezy. haha
I also prefer Keystone/Tulip tuners over Kidney tuners, so I think it looks nicer this way.

I think I got them on pretty straight, and wow, so much easier to get exact tuning. It is so nice to be perfectly in tune, sounds so good. It's also really nice that a string change is super quick, no procrastinating to get it done.

Looks great! Yours has a more pronounced burst than mine. And that wavy figuring is so cool!

You can't see the headstocks, my Son said he liked the darker one better, so sweet. Haha

I think these Sweetwater Lemon Bursts are more than a AAA top. :h5:

Once the Nitro soaks in after a year or two, who knows how they will look and sound. :thumb:

Wow, that is all I have to say about this guitar, is Wow! This is the perfect sized neck for me, not super Slim, a little bit of extra width and so easy to fret. I have other Slim Taper neck Les Paul's, but they seem just a little to Slim at times where they feel like there is just not enough of something. This guitar is just perfect, so easy to play. I am so glad I took a chance with this guitar, that it might be something special for looks and feel. I am a very happy camper!

Nice, very sweet gentleman.

elephandtrider - The Ratio have matching plates that screw in first and then the Tuners lock to it when you tighten them down. The Ratio's come with like 4 different kinds of plates to match Kluson 2 screws, these Grover 1 screws, and two other types for like PRS and such. Yep, they put those Grover tuners on your guitar before the Nitro was even dry. I don't re-call mine being that bad when I took the Grovers off.

So that's it, Sweetwater is just running out of the Gibson Les Paul Standard 60's. They just have 1 left for Lemon Burst, Bourbon Burst and the Heritage Cherry Sunburst.
