I have been looking at these Sweetwater Exclusive Lemon Bursts for a little while now. I have a fantastic 59 Lemon Burst and wanted a 60's Lemon Burst as well. I have a Slim Taper neck Les Paul Custom, but I really like the Bursts a lot more. I also wanted Brother from another mother so to speak, having a 59 at just under 9lbs and this new 60 at just over 10lbs. My 59 has a one-piece mahogany neck, and even though I like Slim Taper necks more, the 59's neck doesn't bother me at all and I am playing it all the time right now.

I was actually thinking about getting the SW Exclusive Epiphone Les Paul Standard 50's Lemon Burst and having the neck shaved down by my luthier. I don't like the tops they offer on the Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60's, even though they feel/play/sound really great, I wanted a Lemon Burst 60's. Who knows how the 50's would feel/play/sound after the neck shave and the Lemon Burst tops were not as nice as the Gibson SW Exclusive ones. I saw the one I purchased and just had to have it, I really love the way it looks. Plus... Gibson Nitro can have that 3D effect look that happens from different angles, especially on the light burst models.

Honestly in the crazy times we live in now I decided to not deprive myself of anything I want anymore as long as getting it doesn’t cause any harm in the other areas of life. I don’t see the point in waiting on things anymore

Beautiful.
Congrats!!!

I have a Slim Taper neck Les Paul Custom...
Slim neck on a Custom?
That's a bit of an oddity.
Tell us more about THAT!

Nice! I have been eyeing the '70s. I don't have a guitar with my mini-humbuckers. I have P-90S, and a couple regular humbuckers, but no minis. GAS is setting in deep.

I pulled the P90's out of my 2011 Les Paul Studio 60's tribute and put mini humbuckers in it, sounds very sweet and pretty hot since they are unpotted.

OMG, I can't stop looking at it, I love the top so much. Next Tuesday can't come soon enough, but at least it gives me time to break the news to my wife. Haha

It was $68 to ship it Fedex two day to get it Friday, and like $96 to ship it next day getting it Thursday. I figured I would just save the money and Tuesday would be fine. But now I just want it ASAP. LOL

Yup the one you picked is a stunner too. Well done my friend. Where are you located that you had to pay so much for shipping? I started wondering if these will come with modern wiring or 50’s style. I’m not sure what I’ll do yet with mine if I’ll switch to 50’s or not but I definitely intend to throw a set of the Luxe bumble bee’s in there that I have a spare set hanging around.

Yep, I am all the way on the West Coast, San Diego CA. I remember when I lived in Grand Rapids, MI. I would always get stuff from Sweetwater in 2 days Fedex or UPS ground, no need to pay extra for a rush order. haha

My guitar was made on October 14th, or at least on or after that. The serial Number states Day 287 of 2021.

The first digit and 5th digit make the year. 233410145 This would be day 334 of 2021 batch 1 number 145 of the batch. The zero in front of the 145 means batch 1.

Yep, zero batch is the first batch of the day, a 1 would be the 2nd batch of the day. The 099 means it was the 99th guitar neck built that batch on Day 298 which is October 25th. So our guitars were made just over a month ago. I bet the Nitro smell will be strong on them when we open the case, that vanilla goodness we can get high from. Haha
