My second Historic from Lovies this year haha.

2008 G0 in Darkburst with swapped pickups to Bareknuckle Abraxas (B) and Emerald (N) with Sprague vitamin Q caps. Weighs 9.35lbs and scratches my tobacco/kindred itch! Gonna see how we acclimate over the next few weeks but first impressions are very positive.

Nice! Enjoy it!
There was one for sale locally not too long ago in the same finish. It was for sure tempting.

Yep, that'd be a Madagascar fretboard right there.

Nice LP.

I have a 2005 G0 "Takburst"

I had a honeyburst ~ 10 years ago. Loved it! Deeply regret selling it; still can't figure out why I did. Just about the most versatile guitar I ever owned. So many useful tones with those split coils - quacked like a Strat on steroids.

Did these come with splits or was that a mod?

I have and have had prs with taps/splits and never end up using them.

Hopefully gonna get some time with this one tonight.

A short history of the G0,

Tak Matsumoto is arguably the most famous Rock Musician in Japan.
He is the founder, guitarist, and lead writer of the Japanese Rock Group The Bz's.
In 1999, Gibson did their first Signature Guitar for Tak, a Japanese exclusive Les Paul, that literally sold out on the
first day. Advertised as a limited edition, Gibson realized they could have sold ten times the number of "Tak" guitars.
Do to the popularity of the first guitar, Gibson wanted to now do a second "Tak" Guitar, this time as an Artist Series, so they asked Tak to collaborate with them on another guitar.
Tak Matsumoto while working with Gibson on his second Gibson Signature guitar made in 2001, said there was a 1960 Burst at the Hollywood Guitar Center Vintage Room that Tak really liked, so he asked them to make him an exact copy of the 1960 Burst at GC. Gibson made the copy, and released it in 2001, Again, the guitar was a Japanese Exclusive, and sold out very quickly.

With the success of the Tak guitars, Guitar Center asked Gibson to make them a Guitar Center Exclusive of the guitar, but couldn't use the "Takburst" name.

Guitar Center called their version of the guitar
The Guitar Center Exclusive 1960 Les Paul, commonly called the G0.
The color of the G0, Gibson called Takburst, in honor of Tak. Guitar Center started selling them in 2002, and has sold them ever since.
The guitar is made to Guitar Center Specifications, it is made to the exact specifications as the 1960 Burst in the Guitar Center Hollywood Vintage Room.
They are always Plaintops, and sells at a lower price point than other Historic Guitars.
In 2003, the G0's did not receive Brazilian Rosewood Fretboards.
In 2004, Gibson started to add a "G" to the Serial Number, because too many 2003 G0's were sold as Brazilian Board R0's, and when people found out the guitar they just paid big money for didn't have a Brazilian Rosewood Fretboard, they were obviously very upset, and wanted to take it out on Gibson.

Thanks @delawaregold for the info!

Do most of these G0’s have the 85-95 neck with reasonably large shoulder? My understanding is they stopped in 2011 as well.

They are all done by hand, so probably no two are exactly the same, but they are all the "soft" Vee.
