I only ask about the electronics as it says paper in oil and mine has ceramic. If you have time could you please check yours?
To my ears I don’t think it makes that much of a difference especially with the gain we use these days. Hahahaha. I just wanted to make sure someone wasn’t in there messing with it. Hahaha.I didn't realize that the site actually specified that. I posted the wrong page earlier but here's the one for our guitar: https://www.americanmusical.com/gibson-exclusive-run-les-paul-custom-ebony/p/GIB-LPCPSL-14375. I honestly don't know enough about it to determine how much of a difference it makes, if at all. There are people here who definitely more about it than me.

Where is that green wire going on the top pot? It's not particularly impressive solder work by Gibson, but it does the job

These are certainly CB‘ s and are not hot at all. I’m very familiar with the 498/490 and these ain’t it.
This is a limited VOS run. They’re definitely Custom Buckers. Check out the multimeter reading of the bridge pup I took out. A 498 would be at least 12-13K ohmsI don’t think you have Custombuckers in that guitar. The regular Customs come with the 490R and 498T pickups which are really hot. I just bought a new ‘57 Custom recently and those have the CB’s and they are not noisy nor hot.

Gorgeous Customs BTW!Yes you’re right, I looked at the spec and these are a different spec to the regular Custom. My bad.
