NGD - Junior content

Swapped my '98 Les Paul Junior Special for this yesterday.
Wasn't bonding with the Special really. P100s were bugging me more and more compared to the pickups in my other guitars...didn't really like the colour....etc, etc...

This is a 2010 Junior with the satin finish. Medium/heavy. Very solid feel...I can't do neck-bend vibrato at all with it. Darkest sunburst I've ever seen. Been calling it 'Smokey'.
Needed a bit of nut work and a set of .011s, but it's now an incredible guitar. Moved the tone cap to the '50s' wiring.
Even unplugged it sounds good. Through my tweed Deluxe it's awesome. Big and beefy but clear. Volume and tone rolled off a bit you'd think it was a strat.
Very responsive to pick attack/position.

I was in a shop last month and tried about 8 different LP's, from an R8 to a Jr. just like the one you got. My favorite by far was the Jr. It played and sounded amazing, especially for the price. Hell of a deal, IMO.

I just bought one too, last Saturday. Fantastic guitar, really rings and sings. The neck feels amazing and it's just one of those guitars you don't want to put down. Killer little rock and blues beast. I play it though a Marshall Vintage Modern 2466 and 1960BX cab (greenbacks) or a Class 5.
