I now have 6 Les Pauls in my collection.

Gibson Les Paul - 08 R8 VOS
Gibson Les Paul - 08 Custom Alpin White
Gibson Les Paul - 08 Slash Inspired
Gibson Les Paul - 05 Standard Faded
Gibson Les Paul - 98 Ace Frehley

And now my latest...
Gibson Les Paul - Joe Bonamassa #42

I actually had to buy this one without even trying it out which was a huge risk as I normally like to try an axe before buying.
This one is impossible to find anywhere so basically it was the only way ... everything my research beforehand pointed to this beeing a guitar I would like.

Once in my possesion it did not take long before I could exhale. This guitar is right now my FAVORITE guitar.
It is amazing to play .. the neck is perfect for me .. not too thick but still more beef than a slim 60 .. it's just butter in my hands...
The guitar is a little lighter than a regular custom LP.
The pickups - both BurstBuckers - are just as I expected .. a very nice bluesy sound out of all of them. Not to gainy. Perfect for Blues/Rock.
I might seem I'm laying it on pretty thick here :) but this one feels like a solid piece of custom-made instrument.
It's an expensive guitar but worth every penny in my opinion .. and I guess that is all that matters in the end ... :thumb:

I bought it at Wildwood guitars:

Anyway .. I made a quick demo recording with the guitar today (thanxs to Surf over on the Marshall forum for the backing-track).
First part with the neck pickup - second part using the middle - and the last part with the bridge pickup.
MP3

Here's some pics:

That is a beauty.

I can see it on stage in a dimly lit smoke filled club, congrats.

I'm digging the 1970's sort of vibe that guitar has going on.

Wow! Great looking and sounding guitar! I love the color on these.

I was just watching the Crossroads 2010 DVD this weekend and saw Joe playing one of these. He and the guitar definitely rocked out! :dude:

Awesome axe...looks, tone and playing! This might be a dumb question, but why does it have different color knobs on it?

Beautiful Guitar man and congrats, I'm personally not a fan of the two types of knobs like Joe has, but that's just me :), but well done on the purchase dude.

Sound clip is very tasty.
