So I finally bought one of my "holy grail" guitars just recently and received it two days ago. It was cold outside when it was delivered Thursday afternoon so brought it in to let it acclimate slowly as i went to work. As many of you know, this is the ultimate act of discipline - to wait to open a new guitar once it's been delivered.

Anyway, I finally was able to play it through my amps today and WOW...I was not disappointed. She weighs in at 9lb 6oz and has very comfortable neck profile. She sports a nice, smooth ebony fretboard with the real MOP inlays. The 490r/498t pups sound awesome through my amp equipment. I might tweak the action just a bit and readjust the intonation but she's definitely a keeper! It's like someone purchased the guitar and played it for maybe a couple of months then stashed it away in its case for 23 years. I purchased this one from Guitaraddict after seeing his f/s thread in the member classifieds. I highly recommend him as a seller and he's a helluva nice guy too.

So without further ado....please meet my new (to me) 1992 Gibson Les Paul Custom 1957 Reissue in wine red:

Thanks, guys. I got everything that I wanted with this one - an early 90's Gibson LPC when Gibson's QC was probably at its highest level, a real ebony board, real MOP inlays work, FEB, deep wine red color, and an all mahogany body. Oh, and under 13lb too, lol. I like the way the all-hog body sounds combined with ebony fb and the pups. It's tonal qualities are very well balanced and sounds great both clean and with dirt. Hell, my wife even likes this one! Lol.

Looks great but where did you the '57 reissue part? It appears to have a Nashville bridge.

Congrats!!

Wine red and gold hardware always looks awesome.

Trying to explain a NGD to a non guitarist is an exercise in futility.
The best I can come up with is it's like being 5 years old on Christmas day.

That thing needs to be plugged into a cranked Marshall ASAP.
