I believe the did a special run for a music store in Canada for 2011. Except they were 50's necks. I may be wrong, I usually am.

I got one.
Damn good guitar.

I sold it and brought a Custom Shop LP.
No regrets.

You are right Commache. They did a run of Traditional Faded's. I had one of those as well, but I prefer my Standard faded over the Traditional.

I put gold reflectors and pointers on mine. It's my budget Sandy.

I imagine if there would be plaintop faded's. Man, that would be perfect to me.
But hell, yours is gorgeous, man!

I've seen a good few 2011 fadeds with plain tops, and have one myself.

I'd certainly prefer a plain-top faded for looks, I personally don't find those bookmatched western-maple tops with the harsh flame too attractive, to me they look like they've just come off the barbeque. But who cares about that if it plays good and sounds good?

The BBQ look is actually what I love about them.

The Canadian run Faded Traditionals were plain tops. Some Lookers too :naughty:

Happy NGD man - that may be the nicest top I've seen on a Faded! Absolutely gorgeous!
