Ha ha, sounds like a plan 
So I thought it would be cool to scan a Gibson ad from one of my old Guitar Player magazines from the 80s / early 90s assuming I could find a Les Paul Reissue. I had obviously forgotten the market for guitars back then. Out of some 30 magazines there were only Gibson guitar ads in maybe 5 of them, and most of them were for their strat type guitar (forgot they even made one!) with a wammy bar. Given the market back then we're lucky these guitars even got made! The first ad for a Les Paul re-issue I could find was for the first official Historic, which there are already plenty of scans for. Was worth a try...
