I traded for this Feiten recently, knowing it had some obvious issues, obviously caused by a previous owner. As I read about these guitars, people were trashing Buzz relentlessly--apparently his business skills didn't match up with his guitar talent. I've been a Buzz fan since he played with Butterfield, so I had to see what was up.
A previous owner was obviously one of those who should not be allowed to own nice guitars. Replaced the broken 3-way switch. The setup was horrible, so I pulled the neck and found a pick some idiot had put in there to shim the neck. A proper shim, adjustment on the truss rod, and it straightened up perfectly. This is a quality built guitar.
Outside of the shelf bone nut, I see no indication of the infamous tuning system, so let's not get into that tired old discussion.
The guitar plays great now. Somewhat twangy like a Tele, no surprise there. This one's staying with me.

Looks slick. I love humbucker/wrap-tail guitars.

I can see why you'll be keeping this one:thumb:

HNGD! :cheers2:

I've seen quite a bit of bad-mouthing the wrap-tail bridges. This is my second, so I don't have a lot of experience with them, but I've not had a problem, and I like the simplicity. The other is a '97 LP Studio double cut. Great little axe.

I find that you have no problems using normal sized strings (9s or 10), and standard tuning.

No moving parts means no unwanted vibrations.

I love to keep things as simple as possible. :)
