I got this one by trading in some of my MIDI gear, it's a New old stock guitar and in incredible condition.

I'm also impressed with how it sounds.

WTF

Is that a bolt neck?

It looks like one of the student models by the headstock and logo.

I'd leave it. Kind of cool - unique/rare anyways.

Tell ya what.
If that was my first guitar, I'd be loving it to death no matter the comments from the peanut gallery.

Looks very punk. It's what comes out of it that matters.

It's pig ugly, I fully realise that, but I'm planning to make a new all walnut body for it, it'll go from pig ugly to stylish

Don't make a new body for it! You've got hold of an interesting, stock guitar that was made for only a short while. I reckon most of these that were sold have gone to teenagers who've stuck 3 million stickers on them and trashed them, and they will disappear from the market over time.

I would leave yours stock, and play it and enjoy it as it is, and in the future you'll still have an interesting, stock and possibly rare guitar.

If you want to make a walnut body get a Warmoth neck or similar, and build a further guitar (can't have too many guitars)! But leave that pierced SG alone for the guitar archaeologists of tomorrow.

please don't waste a good hunk of walnut on that.. please

if you're gonna cut up some walnut, just build a firebrand replica.
