???

Try peeking under the piece of plastic on the headstock. I've never seen a Gibson style guitar that adjusted at the bottom of the neck, never seen one that wasnt a bolt on that did come to think about it.

The rod doesnt run the entire length of the neck,

if you could see it I'd worry.

It's you.

Welcome, read up on the forum, you'll learn a bunch quick.

BTW it doesn't look like a fake. The Experts can make the final decision on the Fake Epi Thread.

It's not a fake. The serial number is genuine.

Made in May of 2010 in Qingdao China. Also brand new, it still has the plastic film on the pickups. Beautiful guitar, I love the finish and color.

How do you know that the serial number is genuine?

What am I missing shifty? Are the fakes coming out with real looking serial numbers?

Yes, they are...and they have for a long time.
The format isn't really that hard to figure out and I could make up hundreds of serial numbers that would check out at guitar dater (Gibson or Epiphone, for that matter), for example.

The OP's guitar looks like the real deal, though. :thumb:

Good to know, I hate passing on bad info. Thanks a ton. It does look real though.

Everything points to it being real... But I'd try posting pics in the fake epi thread if you really want to be sure.

FYI Designator, Shifty is an Epi Verification Expert and has already stated that the O/P's guitar looks like the real deal.

Hi thanks for your comments, I feel a lot better now, if not a bit Stupid though.

It is my first LP, and I must say I love all the different colours it has, from a deep golden Hue to the bright yellow glow!, not to mention the sound.
