The weather finally cleared up enough to get some pics in good light.
I received this Friday from GC/MF. It does need a quick setup but I am loving it.

Congrats, she is beautiful. How does she feel/play and sound with the BB pickups.

Very nice. Congrats. Nicest Epiphone Les Paul they have done, IMO.

Also a good pic to show the non-believers- you can see the veneer on the back too (not that it matters, just that it is there- this is SOP for Epiphone)

I really like the veneer on your example. It seems like there's a variety of veneers for this model which is interesting. In fact, I played one over the weekend and the top wasn't nearly as nice as yours. Congrats!

Not many models, but some LPs don't have one. Like my Ultra. But it has a funky chambered body too.


Absolutely there are exceptions to every rule- your guitar is not a solidbody. They don't do a veneer due to the belly cut. Otherwise, veneers on the front or back of a solidbody for a see through finish are SOP.
