Perusing a facebook sale/trade page found someone local to me selling a 2020 classic in white with the new headstock shape, when googled it was more than surprised that its an ebony fretboard, so i jumped on it. Fitted the 2 T-Tops i have and its not half bad, has a distictly different vibe to my maple tops, its not subtle is one adjective that springs to mind. People describe them as darker sounding? Certainly sounds like metal would be its forte. I Ddid play the epiphone 'buckers and they are pretty good, getting similar feel to the response and tone as my custom buckers. But as supplied, one didn't have a cover on, so I thought the double black would be a good look.

Pick shows an aftermarket pickup owner had installed. Will take some pics of it with the t-tops in shortly.

fitted russian PIO caps. the two T-tops and a lightweight stop bar I found in the parts bin. The difference is there to hear, a more sophisticated tone is how i would fail at describing the difference, the pickup rings need changing, look stupid low. so here she is:

The 're-wire', ordered some braided shielded cable to replace all the plastic, i peeled off what looked like tape from the right hand side to check the wood out. Very pale, but solid, half expected pancake or somesuch.

Well, I am a step closer to completion of project. Just need to rewire the pickup switch and add witch hats. The two T-tops are really right for this project. One is pat no sticker and the other is a 79 before the change to was it, the tim shaws? Not sure, not my area of reading.
