Thanks :thumb:

this part is waiting for her....

Nice looking SG. :thumb:

Where did you find yours? By the way why swap in the tune-amatic bridge for the fixed intonation bridge? :hmm:

I've got it from the german eBay - I was the only bidder :D

I've heard very good things about that model! Had an Epi Korina SG years back that was very good and you can't beat some P90s. Nice!

Nice! I'd at least try to intonate it with the stock bridge myself, occasionally the lightning bar works just fine and is pretty near spot on, and imo looks miles better. But, to each their own. Enjoy, either way!

Yup. Some are pretty good with a plain old uncompensated stop bar, too.

Very nice. I'm a bit surprised at the colour, but otherwise, it's a beauty.

Do you have it in hand now? I'm interested in your impressions. Does it balance well with a strap? I've heard some SGs are fine in this regard and others not so much. :hmm:

These 1961s seem to be pretty decently balanced, in part because they have the light weight 3 on a strip tuners.

I replaced the lightning bridge on my first one not because of intonation issues but because it had some weird harmonic thing happening between the D and A strings. If you played the D string, then muted it, the A string would be ringing out a D harmonic. And vice versa. It was quite annoying. A Badass clone bridge fixed that right up.

I've got her today :thumb:

she really looks like brand new :wow:

well with a cheap strap the neck dives a bit,
might get better with a wider strap and with the Gotoh bridge

will report when I've spent more than just a few minutes with her :D

HNGD! I love that deeper bevel and neck binding, unlike most G-400s! Looks great! Enjoy!
