i've owned a few Epi's before (90's Riviera, 2000's 56 Goldtop, and my prized 64 Coronet - still have the Coronet of course), but I am mostly a Gibson guy (Historic DC Junior, VOS SC Junior, VOS SC Special, 68 SG Std, 62 Melody Maker). A few months ago, I bought an Epi ES-335 Pro, and have been really enjoying it.
Yesterday, I bought a LP Plus Top Pro in Wine Red. Aside from being beautiful, the neck floored me. It is twice the size of the Sunburst Plus Top Pro that was right next to it on the rack. This neck is just perfect - big and rounded just like I like them. I couldn't put it down. And I didn't. The 15% off Black Friday sale at GC helped make up my mind too.
This thing is just killer. I've really bonded with the neck already, and the Probuckers sound great. Can't imagine ever spending $2000+ again if Epi keeps making them like this. Now, if only they included a case....any case....
