NGD: Ebony Studio + Double Cream mods

Well I picked this up a couple of weeks ago but have been waiting on postage and the pickups to finally arrive. I basically love the weight, neck shape and value of the new Studio models so I bought another one.

I removed the pickguard, added a poker chip. Pickups are Dimarzio Super Distortion Bridge and 36th Anniversary PAF Neck.

Man it sounds good. Now got 3 Studio Les Paul’s, the Gibson Fireburst has a Seymour Duncan Whole Lotta Humbucker bridge pickup. The Epiphone Smokehouse Burst has a Pearly Gates bridge pickup.

So since I play on the bridge pickup 99% of the time that’s Alnico 2, V and Ceramic magnet pickups for a heap of different tones.

Very nice. I had a 2014 Gibson Les Paul Studio Pro in Fireburst Candy, such a sweet guitar. It had the 120th Anniversary inlay that a lot of people hated, I didn't mind it at all. The Grip Lock speed knobs were horrible though. Haha This one had the 57 Classic in the neck and a BB Pro in the bridge. What year is your Fireburst?
