That takes some artistic creativity to be sure.I really need to spotlight my wife's efforts in the development of our finishes.
Anna has worked pretty hard through experimentation, trial, error and ultimately success to come up with unique and stunning finishes that separate Desert Star from the rest of the pack.
One successful path she went down was in the development of our pearl and "metallic" grain fillers.
-Which are deceptive in title. But give a big bang in visual appeal.
Here's some of the metallic ones, finished on to some sample bars of mahogany:

We've got the pearl on the left, and two examples of "Copper Sun" at center and right.

And how that filler looks when mixed.
We will have other, better examples of other fillers and finishes soon, Such as a metallic white silver, a violet pearl (looks great on a white finish such as TV white) and others, such as a violet mist over black or grey, which is mixed into the lacquer color coat itself.
Looks like DSG010 will be re-purposed. Bulletproof no longer..RIP Brother!Ahh... here we go....
So, Dave and I had a nice chat, and I put my $$$$ down on my Melody Maker inspired rocker! I'm feeling pretty smug right now, and I may perhaps indulge in a bit of mild gloating... :cool2: As you should! Dave does a great job of determining what you want and provides suggestions if necessary...www.mylespaul.com

Well,... not exactly..... I was opting for classic cherry red..... but I told Dave I was into something different..... after all this was a true DSG not a Gibson replica.... I told him that if he wanted to experiment with a color I was totally in 100%.... this was an option he and Anna presented. That takes some artistic creativity to be sure.
Muddy, did you specify that finish at the outset?
The result sure is BEAUTIFULWell,... not exactly..... It took some experimenting to nail,... Anna found the right combination and the result was just unbelievable.... even @LtDave32 was impressed with the finished product... I almost didn’t think I was going get this one and Dave would build me anotherThe result sure is BEAUTIFUL
