Ya... tough to find because a search for Desert Star pulls up a bunch of hits in the cupcake and tranny thread....

Going back to 2013, here's what I found.

And how that filler looks when mixed.

We will have other, better examples of other fillers and finishes soon, Such as a metallic white silver, a violet pearl (looks great on a white finish such as TV white) and others, such as a violet mist over black or grey, which is mixed into the lacquer color coat itself.

That takes some artistic creativity to be sure.

Muddy, did you specify that finish at the outset?

Looks like DSG010 will be re-purposed. Bulletproof no longer..RIP Brother!

Well,... not exactly..... I was opting for classic cherry red..... but I told Dave I was into something different..... after all this was a true DSG not a Gibson replica.... I told him that if he wanted to experiment with a color I was totally in 100%.... this was an option he and Anna presented.

It took some experimenting to nail,... Anna found the right combination and the result was just unbelievable.... even @LtDave32 was impressed with the finished product... I almost didn’t think I was going get this one and Dave would build me another :rofl:
