shit.

i cant really afford another guitar right now, but i pulled the trigger on this one today.
2007 Les Paul Classic Antique.
vintage sunburst
old shop stock
headstock repair
otherwise, perfect.
i wont go into details, but i got a really good price, and the boss is letting me pay her off a little at a time, and i could take her home.
i didnt think i would end up falling for a chamered guitar, but i did, and i have to admit, she sounds nice.
really resonant unplugged, really nice and organic plugged in. i tried it thru a 65 princeton, and a new hotrod deville, and while she sounds a little brighter than my custom, there is plenty of sustain, everything rings out nicely, and she is a lot lighter than the custom.
anyway, here are some quick pics

i really like it. i wouldnt have normally gone for something with this colour, chambered, with a headstock repair, but it just spoke to me. once i plyed it, i had to have it. it will take me about 6 months to pay it off, but i had to have it.

I thought they only started chambering in 2008?

Anyway, beautiful Guitar! Congrats!

thanks redcoats. i have been holding back for months now. i let a nice junior, a really nice honeyburst classic, and 2 really beautiful traditonals pass through. this one has been in the shop for ages gathering dust. i took her down today, cleaned her up, restrung her and gave her a little set up, and i fell in love.

here are a couple of more pics from home. sorry for the quality, i am using my iphone.

That's a sweet piece. I <3 mine and it's one of the best sounding guitars I own. Love the vintage sunburst finish.
