This was a great day for me! I've long wanted an ebony and gold Studio and this one checks all my boxes.

It's a 2010. Chambered, weighs 7.3 lbs and has a 50's neck. It's in fan-freakin-tastic condition. Really don't think it was ever played much.

I swapped out the circuit board and pickups. Put in some Emerson bumbly-bees, CTS 500K pots and a set of Whole Lotta Humbuckers. She sings so sweetly! I also threw on some black and gold witch hats and a 5 ply pickguard off a Custom.

Got it for $900 CAD with a minty black Gibbo hardcase. OG paperwork included.

I believe you can buy directly from their site if you don't use Reverb.

They're great quality. They first sent me 4 tone knobs by mistake, but once I let them know they sent me two volume knobs at no additional cost. Shipping was quick too.

Beautiful! I just looked at a black 1990 Studio, when we went to pick up my bassist's new amp. It had the gold covers, but I love the way the double blacks look. If I pick it up, I may have to go that route.

I always take the covers off, none of my other Lesters have them on. When I picked this up I had planned on going into the city to buy gold covers as I really wanted that look, but I actually like the open look now on this and don't think I'll get covers for it.

Besides, gold covers are about $40 each now...

For tuners I think I'm going to go with a gold set of Kluson Revolutions with the keystone buttons. I've read really good things about them here on the forum.
