I dragged my buddy to the music store so I could pick up some new strings, he ends upeaving with a Les Paul! It's a 90s Korean made Epiphone Les Paul with a Birds Eye Maple top (NOT amber, totally natural!), and it appears to also have a maple body and neck? Unless it's very light mahogany? Either way, this guitar just begs to be played!

Yep, he paid about $375, I believe... The shop had just polished all the frets restrung it and set it up the day before, too! It plays and sounds great. Still curious as to see if the original hummies are in here or if they've been replaced...

Just looked up the serial number: it's a 1993 MIK, Samick Plant!

Oh and according to a small sticker on the neck joint it appears to be a Standard, not a Classic. (The sticker says LP.STD.BE, and then the rest of the sticker is missing)
