Well, the latest addition to my land of misfit guitars is an I think FLG-60CS. Trying to pin down who made it. My guess is the bodies were given over to whoever took over production from tokai for fernandes and then finished with their touches and necks. It has the rounded square tabs in the pickup routes like a tokai and an offset tenon. However, it has what looks like a 3pc maple neck, heel
cap, no flats in the control route lobes, an inkie serial or the characteristic masked off unpainted space going between the tabs in the neck pocket. It has nibs and a 1pc back. What a mutt!! lol Just seeing what you guys think. I'm trying to learn all the unique differences between the manufactures, need to brush up on my cavities.

This one on reverb has most of the correct tokai traits.

They are usually Terada, but that is Tokai. Strange cavity. Looks more like Matsumoku than Tokai.
I didn’t know about the cavity but the neck made me think matsumoku for sure.
I think what rules Matsumoku out is the fact that the tenon does not have a screw in it.
I do not recall seeing a '77-'81 LS-type guitar made by Matsumoku that did not have it.
Aria, Vantage, Washburn, Epiphone, etc, have all had it.
I actually don't recall ever seeing a set neck Matsumoku-made guitar without the tenon screw, but I could of course be quite wrong on this since they produced so many different models and quite a few different brands as well.
