I still can’t believe I finally found it. Smiling ear to ear right now on this unlikely NGD. I put a WTB in the classified a week ago yet again for this nearly impossible to find guitar they made 300 of in 2006. The stars must have aligned as I search for Sapphire blue les Paul’s and SG’s weekly and there never is anything as they have made very few in this color of either model. Low and behold there was this one that was newly listed on Reverb from Ikebe music Japan. Needless to say I didn’t blink twice. Great experience buying and at a great price to boot. It’s a 2006 SG 61’ reissue and boy is it sweet. It’s in as nice of a condition as you could ever hope to find a 06’ guitar. Basically perfect condition considering it’s age. No dents or scratches or chips. Just a few normal paint swirls from handling that will easily buff right out. Total cream puff and I’m just thrilled beyond belief to have found this guitar that I have searched long and hard for. They say Japan always gets the nicest Gibsons and after seeing this one I have to say there is some truth to that. This guitar has easily one of nicest dark uniform rosewood boards I have ever seen much less on a USA Gibson. This one will be with me for life. You don’t see a SG in this color everyday and I’m a sucker for the unique Gibson’s
