Well, not exactly NG Day. I picked this guy up about 2 months ago, but been away on a job.
For a while I had been looking for a 50's ES-125. Then I found out that Luther Dickinson was gonna let his beloved 125 go, that he played extensively during his 7 year tenure with the Black Crowes, and also used with his Northern Mississippi Allstars band.
It's missing the pick guard, and Luther installed an ABR-1 bridge, and the rosewood bridge is in the case.
( I'll have to dig the non original case out and shoot a pic or two. It's battle worn and beat all to hell ).
The guitar is in great playing shape, although it does show signs of heavy road use.
The P-90 pickup is to die for!!!!!!!! Best sounding P-90 I own, hands down!!
It can go from some melodic T-Bone Walker licks, to all out balls to the wall rock that will touch your soul!
My train of thought was that if he used this guitar for so long as his main axe, it must be a good one!
I was 100% correct!!!
