So i had went through 2 other standards before finally getting this one.... I'm super happy with the tone and feel of this one. Not to mention its drop dead gorgeous.....Finally i can leave my SW guy alone !!! :h5:

I had to settle on this Iced Tea Burst finish but i'm glad i did... its so nice in person compared to the images on sweetwater. It's very black/brown on the 50's version and looks a lot like november burst which i love. I didn't get a good pic because my 2.5 yr old was buzzing around trying to plug things into the input jack... Top looks a lot better in person and the burst has a nice depth effect. I'm really blown away by this LP.

I'm so happy with this one, it really is great... it has a tiny little brown dot on the neck binding right by 18th fret on the binding but oh well.... she plays and sounds too killer to care. I'm really digging the 57 classics over the BB1/BB2 that were in my first standard, the second i never even plugged in it was so bad. Another thing... i don't think sweetwater's weights are accurate... this one feels lighter then 9lbs 6oz.... My Slash is 9lbs 2oz and this feels lighter. :dunno:

anyway with out further a do.... here she is....

I had to settle
No you don't. You never have to settle, not when you're paying thousands. But be that as it may, I love the burst on yours. I'm acrtually getting pretty bored with sunbursts, pertiod, now that ewvery veneered Epi has a fancy-pants spray job, but IMO yours is distinctive not because it is wacky, excessive, or unusual in some obvious way -- it is simply beautiful. And I agree with your pickup observations. Terrific guitar.

I don't know if it's the EB paradigm strings they put on (poorly, so many winds) or what but this might be my best guitar yet in terms of feel and tone....

Wow, is that a looker!

Very nice, congrats!

nice dark board as well.

My SW sales guy picked it for me.... very thankful he thought of me and after a tough year self employed with a pandemic business is back.

Congratulations on the sweet new Standard. Are they really using the 57 Classic pickups in these??

Yes, Sweetwater has a limited run that uses '57s.

I do like Sweetwater, as you get to pick a guitar out of a lineup. Which is good for me, as I’m 1 3/4 hours away from the nearest Gibson Dealer.
They have always treated me well.
My Rep is awesome.

B E A UTIFUL GUITAR!!

I bet that Slash neck on your appetite is pretty big compared to your new 50s?

Beautiful guitar! I didn't know 57s were an option on some. I would have loved them in my 50s Standard.

Im sure my name is ringing in the halls of Sweetwater myself - I had quite a feverish return-fest going myself . . :)
