I've never had an ebony Lester and I'm pretty pleased with this one. The rosewood fingerboard is very rich in color. It's quite heavy at 10.7 lbs. A full pound and change heavier than my 2016 Trad.

It's absolutely flawless all over. The workmanship is impeccable. I sold Gibsons for 10 years, and this one is really nice in particular. If it's a sign of or testament to their new era as a company, I'd say it's a damn good sign.

I got one exactly like that a couple months ago! Mine has great workmanship and quality too. And the ebony and creme is so sharp looking. Honestly the current Classics might be the best pound for pound LP's outside the custom shop.

Stunning guitars. I always loved the black ones too.

"Blow By Blow" was an album by Jeff Beck that depicts him playing an Oxblood Les Paul, which is commonly mistaken for a black one.

Have you left it stock?

What do you think of all the tonal options in the switches?

Yea it's stock. I love the switching options. You can get a good Frank Zappa type sound by tapping both pickups and putting it out of phase in the middle pickup position. I think it makes the guitar a lot more fun and there's no real drawback.
