Well... That didn't take long. Scored this new 2018 SG Standard from GC this morning for a hair over $1000. You know that that means? Note to recoup some $$$ so the Special will be on the classifieds shortly.

Love both of those! I am a fan of both covers and reflectors, and I think it looks better stock for some reason. Happy new guitar days!

Not sure how long this one will stick around, simply because I bought it with my Musicians Friend Backstage Member points (that I've been accumulating forever) with the intent of converting the points into cash.

I literally just unboxed (factory sealed) it moments ago. Nice beefy neck, Burstbuckers, the standard fare aluminum bridge and tailpiece. Nice example with no QC issues.

Need time to decide if I'll just pack it back up for sale, or go through and give it a full setup and keep it around. Either way, a pretty damn cool guitar. What's not to love about Pelham Blue?

SWEET. I've come to realize that I prefer beefier necks myself :applause:

Oh man @jstarr823, that would be really sweet if it had P90s imo!
Ha ha; I thought it had P90s. Again, same line of thinking :h5:

You are flipping guitars so fast that my head it’s spinning....

May I ask why you keep moving so many guitars?

That's my hobby... Flipping guitars. There's a choice few permanent fixtures in my collection, but I like trying new gear all the time. I always buy right and pass the savings onto others. If I break even, I'm happy.

The guitar it’s already in the classifieds.

Sure thing, brother. If you read the 1st post in the thread, I bought it with rewards points with the intent of quiteqpossibly selling. Not sure why your surprised or "laughing" as that was stated intent from the beginning. Buying the SG this morning made the decision easy.

That's really cool of you. Everyone wins.

I don't flip, and I always lose $$$$ on sales :laugh2:

I think I am still free to smile for a NGD that doesnt last 24h before popping in the classified.

A Pelham blue Special is something I just don’t think of myself as having any interest in whatsoever.
.......but I don’t want to admit how many times I’ve looked at the pics.

That’s a cool looking piece!

Sure... but, called it. I’ve set better records than 24 hrs, so this shouldn’t come as a shocker here on MLP. I’ve had guitars sold before they were delivered.

Yeah, I'm not judging. It's me, I'm an old fart that doesn't understand guitar flipping. :hippie: :cheers2:

Man.... I want one of these only just wish it had a bound fret board with a pearloid Gibson logo on the headstock like the TV yellow special I regret selling 20 years ago. The Pelham blue colour is amazing to me and a colour they need to bring for more models.

Yea, I always buy with intent to keep. I do give you credit jstarr for your efforts. I'm much too lazy for flipping and have kept things because I couldn't get off my @ss to box up and get to FedEx. An energetic fella, you are. :)

I liked everything about that LP except the pickguard. Not sure what they were thinking there.
