Well if ya caught my other thread, I was looking at a Pearly Gates reissue.. decided to go another route and found this instead. Bought it from Kansas City Vintage Guitars in KC. Story goes that the first owner bought it new from them and didn’t care for the frets on it. I think in another thread it was said how the ‘59 frets are a touch lower and wider than say the ‘58.. so the this shop took it in on consignment to sell for the guy..it has the VOS finish.. the idea of a brand new (or minty as new) should glossy with shiny hardware is an old habit. I have to keep reminding myself that it’s supposed to look this way.. the nut slots could be a touch deeper to get the action a bit lower but it’s not a big issue.. anyhow.. enough of the typing and now for the photos.. these are the shots the seller had. I’ll add a couple of mine after unboxing.. enjoy

For the price I paid... it looks close enough to this for me.

I believe “red pine burst” is bit of a rare color from what I’ve read.. inspection card is dated 8/20/18 so it’s only a few months old..
I'd choose this over many of the PGs I've seen.

When that run came out it was like any other Sig or CC run. The first X amount looked excellent then they drifted off to looking less and less like PGs.

Flames wise yours looks more like a PG than many of the official PGs.

Awesome find! Enjoy
