NGD - 2017 True Historic Les Paul Reissue

Hi All - I received this about a month ago, but new to the site (thanks for warm welcome so far!), so thought I'd share what is quickly becoming my new #1. I really love this thing, it's attached to at the hip! It's a 2017 True Historic. Cheers all!

Congrats! That sure is a beauty. I've read nothing but good things regarding the True Historics. It looks like you may have swapped out the pick-ups? What did you replace them with?

One question, the colour of the pickguard and the pickups rings looks different. Is this normal on true historics?

I asked Gibson to put uncovered double-whites for the bridge (I don't think this is standard, but you can request it). I agree it looks a bit odd with the cream pickup ring. I may swap it out for cream bobbins at some point!

(the pickup rings and pickguard are standard from Custom Shop).

HNGD , Good score ... So you were able to get Gibson to customize it for you ???? Pups swaps would be a special order I believe . Or was it a M2M TH (2017) like we've been hearing about ?
Yes I'm nit-piking now ,sorry . Did you get the pickup cover for it ? being that TH's have different covers then Standard Historics do .
Can't say for sure But the plastics appear to be TH plastics . Yup a different color too.

Hey there! This was indeed a M2M 2017 TH. Essentially I had them make an R9 with an R0 neck, and did a few of the other fun things like the exposed double-white bridge and grovers. I do have the spare pickup cover in the case.
