These "R8" (2016) are truly magnificent .... (and at reasonable price at THOM!!!! ..)
I just ordered an "R9" LB VOS (2016) at "Musik-Produktiv" in Germany. (good price, cheaper than anywhere else ...) I expect it this week, or beginning next week.

She's at home and she's a beauty! I usually don't love the VOS, but this one it's not bad really. Nothing overdone, apart some gunk on the pups, which seems easy to reduce, but it's not bad rally. Love the ABR1/TP aging, pretty convincing. Love the finish and how it's changing drastically between interior and exterior lights. There are angles where you can barely see the flames, which make it looking like a plain top, other angles with a great mix, the thin nitro I have to admit it's another story... Back is also a good one, not that I care to much of that aspect, but it's very cool. Weight is on the light side, didn't put it on a scale yet, but it's way less than my CS 2014, and a tonnes less than my Trad.

I'll be writing some more impression soon, but for now I'm totally in love with this thing. It does match totally the neck I was expecting (a tree trunk!!) and it does play and sound beautiful (...but I want to wait few days more - because it's honeymoon now, and it's always better to play it for at least one week before last sentence. Sure it's a keeper.... But for what I can see after few hours of playing, it has also all numbers to become my #1 (which is my Custom Light atm)!!!
