Hello all,

New member here, and I just got this baby today. The Sweetwater pics are all I have of it yet.

Still waiting for the guitar to come to full room temp before doing much with it (it's frigidly cold here in Kansas City today), but I just couldn't help but pick it up out of the case, and pluck around for a few minutes. The neck feels great, and the setup seems great too. Gonna be a busy, happy man tonight! :D :dude:

Its a beauty, i was considering one with a really dirty top(which i liked for its uniqueness) but then the studio pro came up and i fell in love with the clowny heritage cherry sunburst so ive ordered that plus it was cheaper a bit

CONGRATS on your TA 2013 LP Std +!

:applause:

I have the same exact model. I had to polish the frets because the frets felt very sandy when bending. Also the high E string was too close to the nibs 3/64" making "ping" on pull-offs from frets 1 to 5 (cut a new nut as a fix). Light sanded the sticky neck with 600 grit, after nine months, the neck is not sticky anymore. All the playing made the neck glossy again; but frets are showing divots and bending wear...wish it were stainless frets to last longer.

OMG guys... I think I have found "THE ONE". I pulled the strings off that it came with, conditioned the fret board with F-ONE Oil (that stuff is great!), put a fresh set of 10s on it, checked neck relief, and pickup height, both of which were spot-on, set the intonation, which was actually way off, got the nut and bridge saddles good and lubed up with Nut Sauce, and... WOW. This thing is amazing. Nice, low action, no fret buzz, and the tones I'm getting from this thing are what I've always dreamed of. I have never played, or much less owned a guitar like this before. I have two LP Studios, and they are no where close to being on the same level as this thing. I also own two EBMM guitars (a JPXI and an Albert Lee HH), and while they are good, they are not THIS good. The only negative so far is that the volume pots are a bit stiff. From what I've gathered from a Google search, this seems to be a common thing, and the pots should start to loosen up with use.

I know this may all come off as hyperbole, exaggeration, etc. But I really feel like I've finally found the guitar that is the perfect match for me. Boy, it sure is a great feeling.

The Trans Amber Les Paul is one of the most stunning Guitars made by Gibson today! My next LP is going to be a Trans Amber!
