Hello folks!
Its been a while :)

I stumbled over this one. I just couldnt resist it when I saw it, the top have a different thing going on. To me, its just awesome.

This beast is the most lively guitar I ever have tried. Its freaking loud, the resonance is crazy and it sustains forever.
On top of it, its not that heavy either. 8.18lb

Im considering shaving the neck to a 59 neck and have the whole back refinished hehe. Becasue this one is going to stay.
Have you guys ever had a guitars neck shaped to a different size?

I love it, please do not shave the neck.

I’ll take a plain top over a flame top everyday.

Reminds me of a R8 that I still regret selling.

If it’s a forever axe and you want to shave the neck to make it a bit more comfy then you have my support in doing so.

59 spec is my preferred. If you resell you’ll take more of a hit, but it will be a comfier guitar to more people.

That top has figure, but not flame.

It is a guitar that will stay :)

I have moulded a new 59 I had ago which had the most comfortable neck I’ve ever played. Unfortunately the guitar itself wasn’t very good.

The luthier who is going to shape the neck is a fantastic luthier. His workmanship is outstanding. The best part is I will refinish the whole back and he will put the same serial number as it has now. Of course he will use hard Nitrocellulose lacquer. I think it will be a hit :D

I just did a 68 Custom RI.
Zero regrets.

In fact, it has opened the door much wider on used guitars I have passed up over the years.

And several that I have sold - knowing now that I could’ve fixed them.

You have my enthusiastic support!
As long as you know your guy is comfortable and confident.

What part of the world are you in?

From your spelling mistakes :naughty: I presume you’re in the UK?

Well, if you are anywhere near Dallas, Texas, I can put you to the right guy!

So, you know a luthier you are comfortable with to do this?

It really is a gorgeous top. I’m wondering how many people saw it and have started looking for one like it?
