What day is it today? It´s NGD!!! :D
After the Gold Top I have been keeping my eyes out for another Les Paul Standard (love the Standard and the BB pickups). Yesterday I got the opportunity to get my filthy paws on a 2005 Faded Honey Burst (with 60's neck).

Awsome guitar, and I really like the thin 60's neck. My GT have the Assymetrical, which I like as well. This is just a great addition to the family :)

It has it shares of little dings, and some wear from the pick (since the pick guard have been unmounted). But it sounds and plays amazing!!

Here is a quick photo from this morning:

Cheers!
Oh, paid 1350$ for it, don´t know if thats a good deal, but here in Sweden it´s pretty cheap for a Les Paul.

Wow - lovely, and very individual looking guitar. I love those faded standards.

Considering that the Fadeds were cheaper than a normal Standard it seems like a decent price. but also adding, that if its anything like many other fadeds it'll end up being a keeper, and maybe your main axe...its a freaking sweet deal.

Very unusual top BTW.
Congratulations

The faded standards were the absolute sleeper of that era. The guitar that Larry Corsa modded into a Pearly Gates or Greeny clone.

You got a very good deal on one of the very best Les Paul guitars IMHO. Enjoy it.

HNGD. Probably the nicest playing and sounding guitar you have there!

Who cares how much you paid for it. Peoples income are all different so a good deal for one might be for another. You spent your money so it's a good deal ;)

Thanks, always fun to share the love, and nice to hear I got hold of a sweet axe :) Even though, in the end it comes down to whats right for you.
Just came home from a three hour rehearsal, she def. got some more meat then the 2011 GT, and she plays great! Sounds a bit hoter then the 2011, and the tone has another character. It´s hard to say exactly, but I feel the 2011 sounds a bit darker in the tone. Also the tone and volume knobs work better then the 2011, feels more responsive through the whole spectra when turning the knobs.

cheers!
