NGD - 2003 Silverburst Custom (Sam Ash Run)

Got this from a really cool guy in CT - he met up with me Saturday morning. It's a 2003 Sam Ash LE Custom in Silverburst. Plays amazingly - and it has Alnico Pro II's in it (just like my Slash Goldtop), so it's very articulate and it resonates very well. It sounds and feels very similar to my 79 Silverburst which has Manlius Landmark PAF's in it. The difference in the finishes is that the 2003 is only silverburst on the front, the 79 is silverburst on the neck, back and sides. I think they both look great!

Thanks, guys! It was a good buy -and I'm glad I found one locally as I wanted to try the neck out first and make sure it wasn't the thick 68 reissue profile...and it's not, it's the 59, so it works perfectly for my hands!

Thanks! As far as I know in 2003 there were no silverburst customs being made - so Sam Ash had Gibson build them a run of 250. They are only silverburst on the front, unlike the 68 reissue, and they have no pickguard.
