My third R7. Think that I’ll keep this one.

I have a 2001 R7 that I enjoy. I’m curious what the similarities are? Mine has a huge fat neck and 57 Classic pickups.

I was informed that the guitar is all original. Have not pulled the pickups to verify pickup type. I believe that the early 2002’s had ‘57’s and then Gibson switched to Burst Busters. I believe that this may be an earlier model. I need to do some more research on the SN.

I’ve owned two other R7’s a 1999 and a 2001. Now a 2002. This new guitar is my first dark-back R7.

I missed that it’s a dark back …even more awesome!

Stop buying them if you don’t like them
Nice guitar by the way !

I do like them, that’s the problem. I am learning the hard way to hang on to things that you love.
