Ok this is technically not a Single Cut but it arrived yesterday from Japan, with a great deal of help from a member here - thanks again :)

I was a bit worried because it sat in customs for 8 days and given that it is made out of what is certainly Brazilian rosewood (jacaranda) I thought they might choose to destroy it rather than give it to me, but thankfully it slipped through unharmed.

It is a wonderful recreation of a Martin D35 and is probably the nicest acoustic I've had in my hands to be honest. In terms of price, I got this for under a quarter of what a modern Martin equivalent would cost, let alone a vintage one. I think the fact this is over 40 years old really makes it come alive compared to modern acoustics anyway. Here are some glamour shots for you pervs out there like me!

As per title - 1977 CE-800
There are quite a few models above this... 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500... But this one stood out to me for sure

Congratulations thats a beauty! I had only seen one other Cats Eyes guitar before and it was online, when I researched I was planning to buy it but at the time I decided on a solid construction jumbo Alvarez cutaway in a local pawn shop and forgot about the CE..

I've read about these. hey're really audacious in pushing the Martin connection -- read the burned-in logo visible in the soundhole! -- but they're serious in the effort to deliver quality craftsmanship. I've never played one, but yours looks really excellent, not only in terms of visual appearance, but also in terms of build quality. And what fine condition! Jackpot!

Good to see it in your possession now mono. Good eye to choose that one. Quite different from the later CE-800s from what I have seen.
