Yes I certainly don't have any issues with tuning stability with the Maestro. The only thing that sucks is changing tuning takes ages.Very nice. I like it
Set up correctly a Vibrola tuning is rock solid. I can do heavy vibratos yet stay perfectly in tune by a Peterson strobe tuner at 1/1000
Sooooo True!Yes I certainly don't have any issues with tuning stability with the Maestro. The only thing that sucks is changing tuning takes ages.
Wow - that’s a stunner - congrats!!Hello Everyone
I recently picked up this '98 1961 Les Paul Custom Reissue. Yes, I know its an SG, but "technically" its a Les Paul so I posted it here. I purchased it bone stock and have made some upgrades to give it a bit more of a vintage vibe and flavor. I had a lot of fun putting this guitar together, and it sounds really good! I really like how almost all of the gold has worn off of the metal parts. The following is the new spec list with the upgrades included:
1998 Gibson SG 1961 Reissue
1960s Gibson yellow-lined case
1960s Grover Patent Pending tuners
1960s Gibson Custom truss rod cover
1950s Gibson M-69 pickup rings
1970s Gibson tarback pickups
Faber aged gold ABR-1
Faber aged gold tailpiece/studs
1960s Gibson Maestro cover
1960s Gibson reflector knobs
Gibson historic spec swith ring
Gibson historic spec switch tip
