Great to see un-circulated examples still popping up! I think I'd leave that one out in the sun to fade for a while though.....that colour can only be called 'turd burst' at the moment.

9.6 pounds
Grovers
Changed volume pots
Probably stolen DW pickups (9 12xx usually have them)
Refret, jackplate, knob crack, lots of play wear, EU price I'm sure
etc.

GLWTS!

That guy has bought my Standard. As far as I know he was selling guitar for max 5 grand. How the hell can that guy affordsuch a guitar? He is probably selling it in consignment.

Well it's nice, but it's not exactly my favourite colour burst. It looks like they used opaque brown.

So original wood, bridge, knobs, and switch. Did I miss anything else that was still original?

a newly discovered original Burst. Found it on the attic of a musician near Amsterdam last January. He owns the guitar since 1981.

Not like 1981 was that long ago?

That is an interesting comment DD. Most Bursts have that nice glass like finish that happens to old Nitro over many, many years.

This looks like an almost satin finish from the photos but the photos may not be accurate.

Cheers, Rudi

The wear on the top does not match the rest of the guitar....There are "clean" cracks in the top, but no dings?

Checking is unusual...
