There is a sticky in here somewhere on MLP slang and acronyms,,

But as Howard said above
New Guitar Days (NGD) are celebrated like birthdays around here!

New Amp Day (NAD) same, but for amps that are new to you. The amp doesn't have to be new, just new to you. Same with Guitars.

However, some people DO specify a used guitar day as New Old Guitar Day (NOGD).

NBD - New Bass Day or NOBD -new old Bass Day

NPD is a New Pedal Day...

New Cabinet (amplifier speaker cab) Day NCD - however I have seen that used for New Case Day too.

Yeah, we like to celebrate Gear Acquisition Syndrome (GAS) a lot around here.

When a member says he has GAS or is GASSING for something, that's what it means. He's wanting a new piece of gear or guitar really bad.

We love to break stones and have fun in here a lot, but if ever you don't understand something, just ask, like you're doing here.

We'll stop our nonsense to answer a serious question for anybody.

At least that has been my experience these past couple years.

Great bunch in here and we're happy you're here!

I've also seen "NCD" and "NTD" for New Car/Truck Day.

I've seen "NGD" used for both New Gun Day and New Gear Day.

Anything that starts with N and ends with D is almost alway New "something" Day.

Not sure what NGO is. Maybe a typo?

HOA is Home Owner's Association. We have a new President. He will make you a cake.
FTW!!!! :rofl: :lol::lol::rofl:

^^^ That's For The Win -

when someone says something that just sums up everything perfectly that it leaves little left to add, that's a huge win!

I'm best buds with the VP BTW - (that's short for By The Way)

Don't believe it for a second that you will EVER see cake in here!

That's another ongoing MLP legend that lives on in here. Always ends up in frustration.

Often promised, never delivered. Wait, it WAS actually delivered once.. @Malikon did actually send @Crotch cake by mail at one point... So it HAS been done.

Not often though.... don't get your hopes up!

Yeah, this is us in our quest for cake...

Something else to keep in mind, OP...

Whenever you post a thread in the backstage, especially on Fridays, there is a really good chance it is going to wind up unrecognizable by Monday....

For the same reason you wouldn't throw a Rolex into the monkey cage at the zoo.....

We just can't help ourselves.....:dunno:

If the NGO question is related to the thread about Andy Ngo, it's just a Vietnamese last name in all-caps. In other places, it usually means Non-Governmental Organization (a non-profit, usually international, organization operating independent of government).
