Newbie looking for les paul!

Hello friends. I am basically becoming a less sucky guitar player (as opposed to being a totally sucky guitar player).

So now Im looking for like a real Gibson and stuff. So I could also look kool on stage. But the problem is Im pretty much new to the art of guitar shopping. Im easy to rip off at this stage.

So I found this guitar (see link). Is it real Gibson? Worth the money? Fake? I would appreciate some timely advice! thanks

i think i am one of the few who like that finish.

finish aside, it is a good guitar with the 57 Classic PUs, which many people think are gibson's best pickup. the price looks good to me.

1) that isnt a fake, at least the pic are real.
2) that's not a standard, its a special run Classic Antique

Dude, with you want to look cool, get a finish most people will like ( e.g. : a cherry sunburst with a normal flametop )

And one more thing ... "So I could also look kool on stage", say "because I want real tonez" or "because of the giurlz", it'll make you even cooler

The Tom Morgan actually has started to grow on me over the last 6-8 months.
That is a real lp, and a very good price. IMO

But I highly doubt very many people agree with me.
So, you wouldnt look very cool slinging that one. IMO

I am not looking for a studio lp. And actually I thought about that red striped finish on that guitar I found and I guess it does look kinda stupid.

Today I went and looked at a used ES-135.

And there were some sorta cracks in the finish around the area where neck joins the body. (my epi les paul was ALL SMOOTH around ther so i was like "i gotta think about this", and left, they wanted $850).

And then went on ebay found another one of those crazy looking tom morgan les pauls, and just paid for it $1395 incl. shipping.

So yeah. I just bought a guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (it better be good)

If all you care about is looking "kool" on stage. A LP won't give you many compliments from people. The comments I get are from people who actually play guitar "dude, you got a Les Paul? You lucky SOB"
All else don't give a rat's @$$ what you have.
