Newb weight training questions?

Couple quick questions please.
I’m doing a few warm up reps then one 6 to 10 rep set to failure consisting of 2 or 3 compound exercises each for chest, shoulders, back and legs followed by a few isolated bicep and triceps movements.
Should I be taking a minute rest between exercises even when changing body part exercised?
For a “superset”, I get that you’re pre exhausting for example quads by doing leg extensions before a leg press, but what’s the point of decreasing my ability to do all the weight I can otherwise handle on the leg press?

Short answer, yes. You're building up L.A. but not directly focusing failure in that exact muscle group.

There's a bazillion approaches to the stuff. I guarantee I'll be told I'm wrong and that's fine, however I did get a lot of my college courses paid for in athletics.

I always took my que from running sprints. If I felt like I could 100% effort sprint another 40, then it's time to start the work. Same for weights. A side note for me was when my heart rate got back down to about 105 bpm it was time to hit it.

I usually do 10 and rest about a minute. Not necessarily the way but it's my way. Good job starting up!

I used to do my rests by timing, but now do it by heart rate. My resting rate at night is always in the low 40's, so I try to maintain an average of between 100-110 over an entire work out. If I run after, I may peak out at around 145-150 but try to maintain the average overall. I'll do a set and rest until I drop just below 100 and do the next set. If I'm feeling especially energetic, I'll move that floor rate to 105.
