Ben Travillian. Also known as "Madialex" He used to run "True-Tone" until it disappeared.
He was married to a girl who went to school with my ex-wife. Small world.

His True-Tone had nothing to do with the other True Tone guitars or Lap Steel pickups.

Exactly. Foothill Pickups. He had a site but not sure where it went. Ben just wound me a bridge pickup. Very nicely done I might add. Clean build, thick and creamy tone, fat. I will post a clip and a couple of pics as soon as I get some time. Double Creme, braided wire, 9.84K I have to give him props for his work. :applause:

It does make me wonder why he's reappeared under a different name.

Although it rubbed me a little wrong that he was using an already known name, or a take on it, at least.

Good to see he's still around.

Thank you. Yeah, I got it figured out. Has a nice honk to it for the bluesy stuff. Back off the volume and it's clear but creamy.
